Title: Three decades in the berry patch: Reflections on genetic improvement

Abstract:
We have worked with blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, grapes and strawberries, introducing 15 cultivars since the late 1980s. Several of these are widely grown in Canada and the USA. This seminar will take a glance back at the programs origins. It will sum up our progress in genetic improvement, and speculate on potential directions for the future.

The Seminar Series is presented to increase awareness of research conducted by researchers at the Kentville Research and Development Centre. Seminars are held in the Cornwallis Room except as noted.
