North American Berry Conference
December 4-6, 2016 - Grand Rapids, Michigan
The North American Strawberry Growers Association and the North American Raspberry and Blackberry Association will meet together on December 4th for a reception and will hold joint and concurrent educational sessions on Monday December 5th at the Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids Michigan.
On Tuesday December 6th both NASGA and NARBA will hold sessions focusing on raspberry and strawberry as part of the Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable and Farm Market EXPO.

This workshop is geared toward those working in the agri-food, seafood or beverage processing sectors who are selling locally, nationally or exporting in any of the following capacities:
• Current small and medium-sized processors/ business owners
• Entry level food processors or those considering further processing
• New quality assurance personnel
• New managers in a food processing facility with limited food processing experience
• Purchasers and marketing professionals in a food processing company
• New operators of a food processing business

NASGA: An Invitation to the Research Community
You are invited to submit a proposal on strawberry research for consideration by NASGA. NASGA supports research in strawberry production that will benefit its grower members. They have committed an average of over $45,000 in research grants for each of the last 10 years. The maximum grant amount presently is $15,000. 

Deadline for submission of proposals for funding is November 15 of the current year.

There are a few big dates to add to the calendar!  This year we are lucky to have the International Strawberry Symposium held in Quebec City, August 13-17.  If you decide to make the trip to Quebec for the Symposium, you may also want to check out the North American Strawberry Growers Association Summer Tour: August 17-18, 2016 Quebec. It sounds like it will be a great tour!
