Itinerary
1. Bus departs Kentville Research Station (KRS) parking lot at 8:00 a.m. sharp!
2. 8:00 – 10:30 Travel to Durham, Pictou County
3. 10:30-11:30 Donnie and Peter McLean’s - featuring weed management in matted row production system (including experience with Chateau and Goal) plus Soil Health Assessment Clinic with Amy Sangster.
4. 11:30-12:15 Travel to Nova Scotia Agricultural College in Bible Hill
5. 12:15-1:00 Lunch at NSAC cafeteria (about $10 and participants pay for their own)
6. 1:00-2:00 Kris Pruski: Tour berry plots at NSAC (featuring KRS raspberry varieties, Haskap, black currants, cherries under high-tunnels)
7. 2:00-2:45 Travel to Great Village, Colchester County
8. 2:45-4:00 Curtis Millen, Millen Farms, featuring strawberry plasticulture with day-neutrals and June bearers, first-year plantings and carry-over
9. 4:00-6:00 Return to KRS and depart
